I had to book my cruise last-minute due to work. I wanted to join my 11 other girlfriends who were already booked. Unfortunately, per the travel agent that several of my friends used, the ship was completely booked. I decided to do my own online research.
Paul at Cruise Planners was the first person to contact me. I explained the situation and he said he’d do his best to find me a stateroom, and stated that he’d check 2 times a day to see of anything opened up. I wasn’t optimistic.
Paul not only contacted the cruise line, several times, to explain the situation. He kept on constant contact via phone, text and email.
Would you believe that he found me a balcony stateroom (I’m claustrophobic) called me immediately and we got it booked?! I’ve already recommended him to friends and family.
If you’re looking to go on a cruise, I would highly recommend calling Paul! He’s goes above and beyond to ensure his clients get exactly what they need. We had an amazing time in San Diego, thanks to Paul suggesting it! We were forced to plan something somewhat last minute this year and Paul was so helpful in doing that! I appreciated his patience with our schedule changes. Also, it was so much easier to have a knowledgeable person help plan a trip! It was stressful and time consuming doing my own research. We have booked three outstanding trips with Paul and team over the last four years and they were always competitive with the prices my friends were paying for the same trip, with way less hassle on my end... But what really cemented in the need for a REAL travel agent was during our recent Cancun trip in April 2021 (and the year of COVID travel changes that we have lived through).
We had booked our trip a year prior, just before COVID became our new reality. Needless to say the flight situation changed several times, the flight times changed and the requirements for leaving and entering the country changed. I cannot imagine what a colossal headache all of this would have been if it were not for Paul and his team providing us constant updates, handling EVERYTHING and helping ease our concerns by answering my many, many questions over the course of the year leading up to our trip. They were always quick to respond and never seemed the least bit bothered by my regular contacts and were proactive in keeping us updated.
Having a good travel agent before COVID was certainly nice, but now it is a MUST!
I cannot thank Paul and team enough for all they did to put us at ease and keep us informed during what I am sure was the hardest year to be in the travel business.

Booking with Paul was by far the easiest way to plan our honeymoon!! It was so easy and fast! Paul did an excellent job of answering any questions and concerns. Our actual honeymoon was amazing! The resort we are at was amazing! Getting to the resort from the airport was so simple and included in our booking. Our trip was so fun and planned our so perfectly! My daughter's cheer squad qualified to compete at the Youth Cheer Nationals in Las Vegas. This was a very big deal for her, so of course I had to make it happen. I contacted Paul from the Getaway Gang to help with reservations.
Paul was so friendly and worked hard to find me the best deal for my Las Vegas package. I am so happy that our Vegas trip is all set!

Paul and Ed were GREAT!!. Our cruise line had to unexpectedly re-route our ship and Paul and Ed kept us informed throughout. They were on top of things the whole time and never missed a beat.
